Brownsville is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brownsville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Love this place. So peaceful and tranquil. Take bug spray and check yourself for bugs afterwards. There us nature galore. Oh. Water. Take plenty of water.

My kind of outing. Staff was okay, not overly helpful but answered every question. The hiking was awesome. Well marked trails and lots to see

If you're looking for a short hike with plenty of beautiful scenery, this is a place for you. The landscape is very different from the normal type of RGV brush and you'll be pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegetation and wildlife that you see?. While a little bit out of the way, it's generally worth the drive. And if you're so inclined, they do have an Airbnb available to stay on the property overnight.

The first floor of the plantation house is open for self-guided tours and is very nice. The upper floors are closed to the public. The garden area and the grounds are great. We hiked most of the 3 miles of trails. They are reasonably well marked and are easy to hike in dry weather. Most of the trails are dirt. There are several good bird blinds and a deck overlooking the Rio Grande River. Birding is good here.
